African Canadian Women in Early Toronto Walk

If you are interested in hearing the stories of African-Canadian women that resisted enslavement during times when some Torontonians had slaves, as well as the stories of those that helped fugitive slaves from the US, the Mackenzie House Museum will be holding a historical walk on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at 1pm.

The walk will begin at South Street Lawrence Market (95 Front Street East at Jarvis) and end at the Mackenzie House at 82 Bond Street (South of Dundas Street). The walk with last two hours with normal sidewalk walking.

This walk is part of the Heritage Toronto Walks series .
