The weather advisory today is what feels like -5°C to -15°C with flurries. That means staying indoors and enjoying a hot cup of soup, tea, coffee, or espresso - whatever you fancy. You know that with weather like this, the high propensity for flu increases as well. Weather.ca tracks flu activity (click here for details). WebMD says the top 12 things we should be doing to prevent cold and flu especially during this time of year are:
1. washing hands frequently
2. don`t cover your face with your hands when you sneeze
3. don`t touch your face
4. drink plenty of water
5. take a sauna
6. get fresh air
7. exercise regularly
8. eat foods with phytochemicals
9. eat yogurt
10. don`t smoke
11. cut alcohol intake
12. relax
