The Little Art Show

200-LAS.jpg
The Little Art Show 2007 will take place on November 17, 7 - 11pm, this year's event will once again be at the BMW Toronto location, 11 Sunlight Park Blvd (DVP and Adelaide). March Gregoroff, Director of Membership and Programming of the Artists' Network of Riverdale, gives his thoughts.

How would you describe the show?

150 original works of art, all 8” x 10”, silent auctioned for the benefit of the Artists’ Network of Riverdale

What will be the main attraction this year?

While there is food, a bar, raffle prizes and music, the art is definitely the star of the show.

How has the show evolved over the years?

It hasn’t changed much, we were lucky to strike upon a great format right away. However, the number of artworks and artists has increased. As well, the quality has really gone up as artists look to the LAS as being a great event to showcase their work.

What are your thoughts on the BMW Toronto building as the venue?

The BMW is stunning. We have the whole fifth floor that looks through the night sky to the downtown lights. The BMW people are very good to us and we love having the event there.

What is the "Hang Man Gallery" all about?

Hang Man is the gallery face of the Artists’ Network of Riverdale. We help artist become better business people. Part of what we do is provide a showing space for emerging and established artists. Not only do we give them a place to show, we try to teach them the ropes of having a professional exhibition.
