Toronto Tourism could emphasis diversity

Some talk of late has been the lack of uniquely Toronto spots to visit for the city's tourists. Aside from the CN Tower, there isn't a whole lot of world renowned tourist destinations. We have the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery and other buildings most metropolitan cities have; but some feel the city lacks some major tourist landmarks that can draw more visitors. The Dundas/Yonge area is being revamped and the Toronto Life Square is part of that remodeling. But the aim is to created a Times-Square lite version of New York's busiest core, which again doesn't uniquely brand the city.

People do comment on the great diversity in Toronto so that could potentially be a part of future marketing campaigns. While the creation of more unique physical landmarks could aid the city, more emphasis on the colourful cultural component to Toronto could lend itself to greater interest from American and overseas travellers. Traveling is all about the experience and experiential marketing focusing on a vibrant eclectic culture has loads of potential.
