The world’s largest retailer, second largest corporation, largest private employer and 27th largest economy—just behind Saudi Arabia, Walmart, is one of the most polarization companies on the planet. Astounding success that has enveloped the global society with a new Walmart opening about every 1.5 days, but a severe backlash from union leaders, environmentalist and activist groups who feel the success that has been achieved has been at the exploitative use of people.

For over two and a half years filmmaker Andrew Munger traveled across North America to try to answer the question: How did the world’s most successful, influential, and important corporation become the most hated?

The answer is Munger’s hour-long documentary, Wal-Mart Nation.

Munger’s two-year documents journey the world of anti-Wal-Mart activism. The journey took Munger and co-producer Gregory Bennett across North America, and across the Atlantic. From small town Arkansas to east end London, England, people have a real hate on for Wal-Mart. Even Miss America can’t stand Wal-Mart. Munger wanted to find out why.
